Subject: Silty Chimes Creek complaint
Date: Thu, 17 Feb 2005 16:41:28

Mark,

In response to your 2-16-05 email yesterday, the contractor for Leona Quarry development was at site with EBMUD to tap into the existing waterline. The excavation was dewatered with a 2-inch diameter pump dumping into the small pond and not directly into the City storm system. The water being pumped out of the excavation pit was clean. After investigation of your 2/15/05 and 2/16/05 complaint, I found no cause for increased turbidity of Chimes Creek
attributable to the Leona Quarry Development Project.
