Dear Marcel,

As I'm sure you are aware Chimes Creek is in a sorry state, with creek bank erosion causing property loss and creating major sewer line problems. This erosion is caused by poorly planned development in the watershed. Since the Leona Quarry development will further exacerbate this already intense problem, the community is interested in seeing a number of measures implemented as part of this development.

One important measure is a restoration of Chimes Creek that will help stabilize the banks of the daylighted section of this creek below the development.

A few of us representing the affected community would like to meet with representatives from the City to explore the possibility of including in the scope of this project the restoration Chimes Creek and other measures that will help to ameliorate the serious problems that this development will create for this community.

Please let me know when we can set up a meeting.

Thank you.
