Mark Brest van Kempen wrote, "This morning I was awakened by what sounded like a train running through my backyard. The creek was raging with quarry colored water. A tree had fallen from erosion taking a piece of my backyard with it. I have lost more property so far in this season than from the past five years that I have lived here combined..."

" ...I went up to the quarry and found, of course, the detention pond overflowing again causing this excessive flow."

"It is extremely clear that the capacity for dealing with the run off from the Leona Quarry site is woefully inadequate and the downstream neighbors are paying for it!"

The infamous hanging sewer line that neighbors have been complaining about for nearly twenty years and kept breaking last season is completely broken again from major erosion last night and sewage is pouring into the Creek.
Broken sewer main pipes scattered about in the creek while raw sewage continues to pour into the creek.

"...Another sewer line on Sunnymere was spewing raw sewage into the storm drain and thus into Chimes Creek- we are talking feces and toilet paper flowing on the street.

After I got home my neighbor knocked on my door to show me that his basement was flooded and the manhole in his backyard was spewing raw sewage directly into the creek. When he called sewer maintenance they said that "there was not much that they could do about it but they will send somebody out."
